When fitting or replacing a water tank, there are a few things to consider

The first thing to think about is the capacity of the Watertank; if the sole purpose is to supply only a hot or cold water system, you require a tank with a minimum capacity of 100 litres. If your water tank needs to supply both hot and cold water systems, you will need a minimum capacity of 200 litres.

The second consideration is the shape of the water tank. This will depend on the space where the water tank will be fitted and the access to that space. Common water tanks are rectangular, round or square for low height spaces low level rectangular shaped coffin tanks can be used. In spaces with small loft openings, two smaller tanks can be coupled and used instead of a single large one.

The Water tank is fitted as high as possible to ensure the best possible water pressure and will be set to supply your cold and hot water systems optimally. Water tanks are also covered to prevent dust contamination and insulated to avoid freezing.
