I was pleased with the work kai did to replace the faulty part on the heating system, as a result there are no problems now and the heating is now operating efficiently and correctly.

This is a reliable, professional and trustworthy company that I would highly recommend.
A few years ago I needed a replacement boiler, TM Hughes sourced it, supplied and fitted it efficiently and tidily. My late husband was ill with dementia at the time, but the plumbing and heating engineer, Pawel, took everything in his stride and was kind, friendly and respectful with him.
After installation he checked each radiator carefully. He was polite and his work was clean and tidy. Since then I have continued to use TM Hughes and Pawel has done the annual boiler service each year. I wouldn't hesitate to contact Terry, the owner, if I had a plumbing or heating problem as I know that I can rely on Pawel to do what's best. He takes a genuine interest in his customers and won't advise you to do something that is unnecessary.
Thank you Terry for a company of which you should be proud.

TM Hughes And Son Plumbers install, repair and unblock all types of Toilets.

Close-Coupled

Close-Coupled Toilets, or Traditional Toilets as they are otherwise known, have the cistern and bowl close together with the cistern directly behind the toilet bowl. Close-Coupled Toilets are available in contemporary or traditional styles; contemporary styles have a modern or minimal style design with the cistern sitting directly on top of the toilet Bowl. Traditional styles have the cistern raised above the toilet bowl at a high or low level. Traditional style toilets are ideal for classic design bathrooms.

Back To Wall

Back To Wall Toilets work the same way as close-coupled Toilets. They are fixed to the floor but have the cistern hidden out of sight behind a wall or bathroom unit. Back To Wall Units are great space savers and work well in smaller bathrooms.

Wall Hung Toilets

Wall Hung Toilets are fixed to a solid frame concealed and the cistern inside a wall or unit. Wall Hung Toilets don’t sit on the floor and give a floating appearance. A favourite for modern bathrooms.

Corner Toilets

Sometimes space is an issue, and Corner Toilets can work to maximise space. Corner Toilets are usually a modern Close Coupled design that is designed to fit neatly into any corner.

Cistern Types

Toilet cistern installation requires careful planning as poor planning can lead to access and maintenance troubles in the future. The toilet cistern stores water, which is released to flush the toilet. The water supply to the cistern is controlled by a float valve which stops the tank from overfilling.

Low Level

The most common type of cistern, located just above the bowl and easy to access and maintain. Flushed with a lever or push button.

High Level

Commonly found in older houses and classic style bathrooms, they are very effective. The high level ensures a faster flush, but they have become less popular over the years due to newer space-efficient designs of cistern coming on the market. Flushed with a pull chain.

Concealed

The Cistern is hidden in a wall or unit behind the toilet bowl and is flushed with a lever or push button.

Common Toilet Problems

Here are the typical Toilet problems we fix

  • Blockages
  • Cistern constantly filling
  • Requires repeated flushing
  • Won’t flush
