Boiler Servicing
Look after your boiler with an annual service. Our service price is amongst the best in Essex. You’re welcome to book a service at the best time for you. Our gas safe registered engineers are efficient, tidy and follow a stringent procedure that covers every working aspect of your boiler.
Seals are checked and replaced where necessary. Pipeworks checked for leaks and corrosion. The water pressure and flows checked and adjusted if needed. The gas burners inspected to ensure it’s running as it should be. Every part of the boiler’s cleaned, and all valves and safety devices are checked.
Once the service is completed, various tests are undertaken to ensure everything is in order, then follows a gas rate check and analysis of the flue.
The work’s done to the correct standard according to safe gas regulations and your boiler manufacturer’s instructions, whoever that may be. When we’re satisfied that the boilers running properly and is safe, we’ll check the system and bleed radiators.
Rest assured after the service. Your boiler will be running as best as it possibly can. You’ll enjoy optimal heat output, better energy efficiency and less risk from boiler breakdown. We service all makes and types of boiler.
Boiler Repair
Boiler repairs are always inconvenient. They never happen at a good time. When your boiler breaks down, you want it back up and running as quickly as possible, especially in winter, the most common time of year for boilers to break down, when they’re working at the hardest. We repair all types of boiler for both domestic properties and businesses.
Give us a call we’ll have a gas safe registered engineer with you ASAP. Our experienced engineers have fixed all types of boilers over the years. There isn’t a repair we can’t do.
Faulty boilers can sometimes still run before breaking down. If you suspect a fault with your boiler, don’t leave it until your boiler breaks down. Get it looked at, or give us a call, and we might be able to diagnose the fault over the phone.
Common faults include, boiler keeps switching off, broken heat exchangers (loud noises will occur ), pilot light keeps blowing out (a sign of a broken thermocouple) and frozen pipes (when the condensate pipe freezes and stops the boiler, a typical winter problem)
An inspection and some testing will quickly diagnose the fault with your boiler. We hold many parts in stock, and if we don’t have the parts, we can usually acquire them on the same day. Rest assured, you won’t be without a boiler for very long. A boiler repair service includes no call-out charges.

Underfloor Heating
We Install, service and repair both types of underfloor heating, wet and electric systems. Nothing beats the feel of a warm floor underfoot or evenly heated rooms, something no other form of heating boasts.
Highly energy-efficient and largely maintenance-free underfloor heating is a dream and a great space saver as it eliminates the need for radiators. Underfloor heating is very popular for new builds, extensions and those with existing conventional central heating systems who want to upgrade.
Underfloor heating will work with most floor types. Whether they are carpet, wood, stone, vinyl or tile, you can have a warm floor. If your ‘e interested in underfloor heating, an engineer can come over, inspect your space and existing system and then give you a free no-obligation quote.
Hidden under the floor out of harm’s way, underfloor heating is very safe from damage. In the unlikely event you have damaged your underfloor heating system. We can quickly identify the location of faults with a thermal imaging camera, preventing the need to pull the entire floor up. Most issues with underfloor heating systems happen above ground and can usually be repaired swiftly.
Whatever your needs installation, service or repair, we can help you.
Powerflushing
Powerflushing is the ultimate central heating maintenance removing any sludge (debris) built up in your system. It’s best to undertake a power flush if your system is clogged or before a new boiler installation.
Over the years, rust and debris come away from the inside of radiators and pipes. The debris gets pumped around the system, with the water eventually settling and building up in the pipes and radiators.
After a few years, this build-up will prevent your central heating system from working properly. It’s akin to having mud in the radiators. You’ll know when your radiators only get hot in the middle and top, or the top only — the bottoms filled with sludge preventing the radiator from getting hot.
Bad for your central heating system and bad for your boiler. Loose debris can get lodged in internal boiler components, causing failure.
Power flushing will remedy this. Chemicals are pumped through your system continuously, and dirty water’s removed. This is repeated until the system is clear of sludge. Once were’s satisfied, the systems clear, clean water’s added along with an inhibitor. This process will keep your system clean for a long time.
The result? Full heat output from your radiators, better energy efficiency, lower energy bills, and boiler breakdown protection.

Gas Safety Inspections
Our gas safe registered engineers undertake gas safety inspections and issue gas safety certificates (also known as cp12 certificates).
If you let a property, you’ll need a landlords gas safety certificate. As a landlord, are you required by law to ensure your property is safe for tenants? This includes ensuring the gas system and appliances are fitted correctly and are safe, as stated in the gas safety installation and use regulations 1998.
An inspection with certification proves your property safe for tenants. Allowing you to rent your property legally, validate your landlord insurance and comply with letting agents requirements.
During the inspection, all gas appliances (which include the boiler ovens, hobs and gas fires) are checked to ensure gas is burning at the correct rate and don’t pose a carbon monoxide or leak risk. Appliance safety devices are tested to make sure they work properly. Gas connections flues and chimneys and the main gas supply are checked.
Once everything has passed, a certificate can be issued. If your property doesn’t pass the gas check for some reason, we can advise on repairs and pricing. Often we can perform repairs during the safety check (if we’re carrying the parts; otherwise, we’ll attempt to source them locally). If parts need ordering, we can come back at a later date to perform the repair, pass your property and issue the certificate.
An engineer must renew the certificates annually. We’ll be in touch before your certificate expires, so you’re always covered.
Gas Fire Servicing
For Gas fire safety and energy efficiency, it’s a good idea to get your fire serviced annually (before it goes on for winter at the end of autumn is ideal). If you’re a landlord and your property has a gas fire, then you required by law to have your gas fire inspected every year (see gas safety inspections for more information).
A service makes sure that your gas fires safe with the minimal risk of carbon monoxide poisoning and is energy efficient. Our engineer’s service all types of gas fires which include open-fronted, high efficiency, and outset gas fires. All flue types are covered, which include brick, chimneys, prefabricated flues and precast flues.
During the fire service, we’ll clean the fire assembly remove all the components (including the pipes, catalyst, burner units and more) and give them a thorough clean also. The fire’s put back together.
The gas supplies turned back on. The pressures tested, the chimneys inspected, and then a ventilation test is performed. Once we’re satisfied the fire is working properly, a service record’s written.
Please note we only service gas fires. Unfortunately, we don’t offer gas fire repair.

Gas Cooker Fitting & Disconnection
If you’re replacing your gas oven or removing it completely to make way for a brand new electric oven, you must use a gas safe registered engineer. Never attempt to remove a gas cooker yourself.
We offer a gas cooker fitting and disconnection service where we swiftly disconnect your gas cooker and fit your new one. Certificates prove that your new gas cooker’s been installed safely and legally.
We fit and disconnect all gas cooker types, which includes standard gas, LPG, gas range cookers, built-in gas ovens, dual fuel cookers, gas hobs, and built-in gas hobs.
If you have ordered a new cooker, we can unpack and install your new one checking that it’s working correctly and fitting any accessories you might require, such as a new extraction fan.
We’ll make sure your gas cookers installed in a safe place away from any obstructions such as sockets, switches, smoke alarms etc.
Gas cookers are popular throughout the County.
Gas is cheaper than electricity, you don’t have to wait for it to heat up, and you get accurate and even heat distribution. Nothing beats food cooked by gas.
A proper installation ensures you’ll enjoy your cooker safely for years to come.
