Gas Fire Service Procedure
- Turn off the gas supply
- Clean fire assembly
- Remove components
- Clean burner unit, pipes, catalysts, inline restrictor and pilot assembly
- Turn on gas supply
- Test fire for gas leaks
- Test chimney/flue ventilation
- Test pressure
- Check Fire is working properly
- Write service record
Validate Your Gas Fire Warranty
Many Gas fires come with long warranties. However, many manufacturers state that the gas fire must undergo an annual service for the warranty to be valid. The same goes for home emergency cover. Many won’t cover a broken down fire unless it’s been serviced in the last 12 months.
