Types of Toilets We Install & Repair

We fit all types of toilets and flush mechanisms, which include:

Close-Coupled Toilets

The cistern sits on the toilet pan. Close-coupled Toilets are compact, reliable, and ideal for most modern bathrooms.

Back-to-Wall Toilets

With a back-to-wall Toilet, the cistern and pipework are hidden behind a panel or unit. This gives a cleaner, more streamlined look and makes cleaning around the Toilet easier.

Wall-Hung Toilets

Wall-hung Toilets are mounted on the wall, with the floor space underneath left open. The cistern is hidden in the wall, and the flush is operated using a button or plate.

Low-Level Toilets

Low-level toilets have a separate cistern fixed just above the pan, connected with a short flush pipe. They’re a good option if you have a traditional-style bathroom but don’t have the space for a high-level cistern.

High-Level Toilets

High-level Toilets feature a tall flush pipe, and a cistern mounted higher up the wall. Often, with a pull chain, they have a strong flush.

Toilet Flush Mechanisms

Several Toilet flush mechanisms are available, which include:

Lever Flush

Operated by a handle or lever (usually on the side or front of the cistern). A traditional design commonly found on older toilets.

Push-Button Flush

A button is located on the top or front of the cistern. It can be single or dual flush, with the latter offering a choice between a full or half flush to save water.

Dual Flush Button

Two buttons – one for a small flush (liquid waste) and one for a full flush (solid waste). Helps reduce water usage and is common in modern toilets.

Chain Pull Flush

Found on traditional high-level Toilets. The flush is activated by pulling a chain attached to the cistern.

Flush Plate (Wall Button)

Commonly fitted with concealed cisterns in back-to-wall or wall-hung toilets. A button or plate on the wall triggers the flush, usually dual flush.

Siphon Flush

Uses a siphon system to draw water from the cistern into the bowl. Reliable and less prone to leaking compared to valve systems.

Flapper Valve Flush

More common in older or imported toilets. A rubber flapper lifts when flushed to release water into the bowl. It can wear out over time and cause leaks.

Sensor-Activated Flush (Touchless Flush)

Uses a motion sensor to trigger the flush automatically. Often found in commercial settings and modern bathrooms, they are hygienic and easy to use.
