How Powerflushing Works
- Powerflushing involves connecting a Kamco Powerflush Machine to your central heating system and pumping chemicals mixed with water through at a rate of 170 litres per minute.
- As the chemical/water mix circulates, the built-up sludge is loosened, dissolved, captured, filtered, and removed by the machine.
- The process continues until the system is fully cleared and free of all sludge. The time it takes to clear your system will depend on its size, complexity, and condition.
- Severely sludge-clogged systems will take longer to clear than those that are moderately built up. Generally, Powerflushing takes a few hours.
- The procedure generates a fair amount of dirty wastewater, which our engineers will take away and dispose of.
