Welcome to TM Hughes & Son Gas Services Ltd. We install Saniflo systems in Loughton.
Saniflo systems allow you to place toilets and other plumbing fixtures in parts of the home previously considered off-limits.
What Makes a Saniflo Different?
A Saniflo is a powerful macerating pump that grinds waste into a fine slurry. This slurry travels through narrow pipes to the main sewage line or a septic tank. The key advantage? The limitations of large-diameter gravity drainage no longer bind you, meaning you can install Plumbing fixtures anywhere in your home. This flexibility is a game-changer. Now, you can add a bathroom in your loft, a toilet in a downstairs cupboard or a kitchen in your basement.
How Does It Work and Where Does the Waste Go?
When you flush a Saniflo toilet, the internal blades chop up any solid waste. The macerated waste is pumped away to join your property’s standard wastewater route, ending in the sewer. Because the system uses pressure rather than gravity, you can place the new toilet or bathroom almost anywhere in your home.
How Far Can a Saniflo Pump?
One of the reasons we recommend Saniflo installations in Loughton is the impressive pumping distance. Saniflos can move waste up to 5 metres vertically and 100 metres horizontally.
Not Just for Toilets
While Saniflo technology is most commonly associated with toilets, various models can handle wastewater from showers, sinks, washing machines, and dishwashers. This opens up endless opportunities for placing plumbing fixtures. For example, outdoor home gyms with attached shower rooms, basement kitchens, or utility rooms in awkward spaces.
