Thanks to Saniflo systems, Plumbing installations are possible in locations that were previously not viable due to the layout of the home, the location of the soil pipe and the sewer system.
Saniflo systems work by grinding waste and using a pump to send it through fine pipes to the sewer line or septic tank.
For example, a toilet or shower can be placed in a cupboard or any room of your home. Another example would be the installation of a bathroom in a loft, garage or even basement.
Previously Plumbing fixtures had to be installed close to the soil pipe to deal with the waste. However, conventional waste systems such as those of a toilet, shower or basin work with gravity and can’t transport waste far, hence the need to install close to a soil pipe that takes the waste to a sewer.
Saniflos can transport waste up to 150 feet horizontally and 15 feet vertically, a massive improvement. For this reason alone, toilets and showers can now be installed anywhere in a property.
Saniflos are incredibly water efficient, using up to 70% less water than traditional toilets. Good news if you’re on a water meter and will ensure your doing your bit for water conservation.
Saniflo systems are designed to be low maintenance and provide trouble-free day-to-day use. Saniflos will last for up to 15 years. After that, however, some maintenance is required.
It’s important to ensure only waste and Toilet paper go down the toilet (the same as conventional toilets). This is because sanitary products can cause issues with the macerator blades.
The Saniflo will need descaling a few times a year. This is because Benfleet has hard water, which will create limescale build-up. Descaling Saniflos is a quick and easy procedure, though.
