Gas Fires are a lovely addition to a living room. They look and feel amazing, providing warmth and cosiness, much appreciated in the depths of winter.
Annual servicing ensures your Fire is safe and runs at the best possible energy efficiency. For the best results, service before the winter season or in the spring/summer, so it’s ready for the following winter.
Servicing involves the cleaning and testing of all working parts of the Fire.
Home insurance and fire warranties require annual Fire servicing to ensure validation.
Following the service, you can relax and enjoy your Fire knowing that it’s safe to run, isn’t wasting excess fuel and is unlikely to break down, and if it does, your warranty/insurance is valid.
For landlords, it’s good practice to have your Fire serviced (along with the boiler) during your annual Gas Safety Inspection.

The Gas Fire Service Procedure
Gas Fire Servicing is a straightforward procedure. Our engineers have many years of experience in servicing gas fires are Gas Safe, Registered and fully insured.
On arrival, the engineer will present their gas safe ID so you can rest assured a professional is servicing your Fire.
Dust sheets are placed by the engineer, around the work area to ensure your carpets don’t get dirty.
The fires were dismantled, so all internal parts are accessible, inspected and cleaned.
Once the engineer’s satisfied all parts are ok, he’ll reassemble the Fire and with it on to make sure it’s running correctly.
The gas rate’s checked to ensure the correct amount of gas is burned, along with the Fire’s built-in safety devices.
The flue’s also checked to ensure exhaust gasses are being expelled adequately.
The tests undertaken during the service confirms your Fire is not a carbon monoxide risk.
Carbon monoxide can kill. Therefore it’s essential to have a carbon monoxide room in the same room as your Fire.
If you don’t have an alarm present, our engineer will recommend one.
Once the service is complete, a service record is written and presented. Keep this for your records, if you ever need to validate your home insurance or fire warranty.
