Gas Fire Service Procedure
Gas Fire servicing is a quick and clean operation. Here’s how it works.
- Contact us and book an appointment. We have many timeslots available six days a week.
- One of our experienced gas safe registered engineers will arrive at the property at your booked time.
- Our engineer will cover the work area to ensure none of your flooring or furniture gets dirty.
- The gas fire is dismantled so the engineer can clean the fire assembly, which includes the burner unit, catalysts, pipes, inline restrictor and pilot assembly.
- The fire is switched on
- The gas burn rate is checked and adjusted if necessary
- The flue/chimney is tested to ensure exhaust gasses are removed properly
- The fire is checked for leaking gas
- A service record is written
- The engineer tidies up, takes payment and leaves
