Toilet Installation & Repairs
We install and repair the following types of Toilets and Flush mechanisms.
Toilet Types
- Close-coupled Toilets: These are the most common type of toilet in the UK, featuring a cistern directly connected to the pan. They come in various styles and designs, making them a popular choice for many households.
- Back-to-wall Toilets: Include a concealed cistern within the wall or a furniture unit, with the pan sitting flush against the wall. This type of toilet offers a clean, streamlined look and is suitable for smaller bathrooms to save space.
- Wall-hung Toilets: Mounted on the wall with the cistern hidden within the wall or a furniture unit, wall-hung Toilets create a floating appearance. They are easy to clean, as the floor underneath is accessible.
- Corner Toilets: Specifically designed for small bathrooms or cloakrooms, corner Toilets feature a triangular-shaped cistern that fits into the corner of the room, maximising space perfect for small bathrooms with limited space.
- High-level Toilets: These traditional-style Toilets have a cistern mounted high up on the wall, with a visible flush pipe connecting it to the pan. They use a pull chain for flushing and add a vintage touch to the bathroom.
- Low-level Toilets: Similar to high-level Toilets, low-level Toilets have a wall-mounted cistern but are closer to the pan. A visible flush pipe connects the two, and a flush handle is used for flushing.
Flush Mechanisms
- Gravity Flush System: This traditional flushing system uses the force of gravity to flush water from the tank into the bowl. The flush valve opens when the flush handle is pressed, allowing water to flow through the bowl and remove the waste.
- Dual Flush System: This system offers two flushing options—a full flush for solid waste and a partial flush for liquid waste. The dual flush system helps conserve water by allowing users to choose the appropriate flush volume for the type of waste.
- Pressure-assisted Flush System: Using pressurised air to force water into the bowl creates a powerful flush. The pressure-assisted system is more efficient in clearing the bowl but can be louder than other flush mechanisms.
- Vacuum-assisted Flush System: A vacuum-assisted flush system combines gravity and vacuum power to create a powerful flush. This system is more efficient than a gravity flush but quieter than a pressure-assisted flush.
