Having warned us that the part would have to be ordered with a possible one to two days turn around he left to order a new seal from a local supplier. However, despite his doubts on the availability he managed to locate and obtain a replacement part and returned the same day to carry out the repair. Having done so, he went on to successfully complete the annual boiler service as required. Kai’s efforts and prompt repair ensured that we suffered little to no inconvenience. - A Gas Safe Registered engineer arrives at your property on your booked time and date
- Dust sheets are laid in the work area around the fire to protect your flooring and furniture
- The gas supply is shut off so our engineer can work safely
- The fire assembly is removed
- The engineer cleans all the fire’s internal components, including the burner unit, catalyst, pipes, and fire assembly.
- The Gas Fire is reassembled
- The gas supply is reinstated
- The fire is switched on
- The engineer checks the gas burn rate and adjusts it if necessary
- The flue or chimney is tested to ensure exhaust gasses are being expelled correctly
- The fire’s safety devices are teste
- The fires tested for leaking gas
- A service record is written and given to you
- The engineer tidies up at departs
