How Powerflushing Works

Powerflushing involves connecting a Kamco Powerflush Machine to your central heating system and pumping chemicals mixed with water through at a rate of 170 litres per minute.
As the chemical/water mix circulates, the built-up sludge is loosened, dissolved, captured, filtered, and removed by the machine.
The process continues until the system is fully cleared and free of all sludge. The time it takes to clear your system will depend on its size, complexity, and condition.
Severely sludge-clogged systems will take longer to clear than those that are moderately built up. Generally, Powerflushing takes a few hours.
The procedure generates a fair amount of dirty wastewater, which our engineers will take away and dispose of.
Once your central heating system’s clear, it’s refilled with fresh water and a corrosion inhibitor to help prevent future sludge build-up.
