7. The gas supply is reinstated
8. The fire is switched on 
9. The engineer checks the gas burn rate and adjusts it if necessary
10. The flue or chimney is tested to ensure exhaust gasses are being expelled correctly
11. The fire’s safety devices are teste
12. The fires tested for leaking gas
13. A service record is written and given to you
14. The engineer tidies up at departs
