Boiler Keeps Switching Off

Faulty Heat Exchanger

Faulty Thermocouple

This component regulates the gas flow. If it malfunctions, the pilot light might go out, disabling the Boiler. Often, a new thermocouple can remedy the issue. If this doesn’t solve the problem, inspect the gas supply.

Faulty Thermostats

An inaccurate or malfunctioning thermostat can disrupt the Boiler’s operation, so a new one is in order. 

Frozen Condensate Pipes

The condensate pipe expels wastewater outside. If it isn’t insulated, it may freeze during colder months. If frozen, the pipe needs thawing to resume the Boiler’s normal operation. Proper insulation is also required to prevent the issue from happening again. 

Radiators Not Getting Hot

If radiators remain cold, it might be due to air accumulation. Bleeding them is the first thing to try.

If the radiators are only hot at the top or middle and top, there might be sludge in the system. This requires a power flush to remove it.
