We want to offer you a free no-obligation Bathroom survey and quote undertaken by our experienced Bathroom designer.

Our Bathroom designer is highly flexible on times and can visit your property at a convenient time and date of your choosing.

Our friendly Bathroom designer will discuss your requirements and what you want from your Bathroom while answering any questions or concerns you may have.

Your Bathroom will be designed using one of the following criteria, whichever works best for you

  • Designed utilising the materials you choose
  • A Design based on a Bathroom style you like that you have seen online or in a magazine
  • One of our Bathroom Designer’s styles

Many materials and parts are required when designing and building a Bathroom that, when fitted, will look amazing and stand up to the rigours of daily use for many years.

Each section of the Bathroom is broken down and looked at in detail

  • Plumbing & Electrical
  • Heating
  • Lighting
  • Walls
  • Suite
  • Flooring
  • Taps
  • Showers
  • Storage

Plumbing & Electrical

When building a new bathroom, the old one is stripped out. Before installing the fixtures and fittings, pipes and cables must be fitted in the right places to serve your taps, shower, toilet, switches and lighting.

When fitting a new bathroom, we ensure all the plumbing and electrical components are in order and ready to go, which enables the correct installation. For example, pipes are fitted under floorboards while the electrical cables are placed above the ceiling and chased into the walls.

For some new Bathrooms, it’s possible to use the existing Plumbing pipes and Electrical cables depending on their condition and whether you want anything repositioned, for example, the bath in a new area.

Heating

Next, we look at the heating. Most bathrooms will have a radiator. We fit all types of radiators, including standard, column, towel rail, Designer and verticle.

All radiators are fitted with the latest thermostatic valves to precisely control the temperature. Smart valves are another option which is managed via an app.

We can also install Underfloor Heating. A warm floor is delightful when you step out of the bath or shower, adding another dimension of luxury to your new Bathroom.

Lighting

Bathroom lighting is resistant to moisture and heat. Ceiling lights are recessed or semi-recessed for added protection.

Lights along with bulbs that enhance your bathroom colours and style are fitted. We can also fit extra lighting over mirrors, making them easier to use.

Natural light from windows is also taken into consideration when designing your Bathroom.

Walls

Tiles are the most common Bathroom wall coverings available in various materials such as glass, stone, ceramic and porcelain, in multiple shapes and sizes with hundreds of colours and designs to choose from.

Tiles are extremely durable and waterproof, lasting many years. Moreover, tiles can be fitted in multiple patterns such as ‘linear’ ‘brick’ ‘herringbone’ ‘diamond’ ‘modular’ and more.

Panels are the main alternative to tiles. They are available in different grades and in many designs and colours. In addition, panels are 100% waterproof and are quicker to fit than tiles.

All wet areas of your Bathroom (the areas around the shower, bath and basin) will be tiled or panelled. In addition, you may have your whole Bathroom tiled or panelled.

For Bathrooms that are partially tiled or panelled, the remaining walls are coated in Bathroom paint in a colour that compliments the design and style of your Bathroom.

Suite

Bathroom Suites include a toilet, basin and bath. They are available in multiple lengths and heights to fit in all spaces.

Toilets and basins are usually constructed from ceramic, while baths are generally constructed from acrylic or steel, although other materials such as stone are available.

Bathroom suites are available in a range of modern and traditional designs. Modern suites tend to be sharp, sleek and minimal, while traditional suites include prominent features and curves.

Baths, Toilets and Basins are available in multiple types, a wide range to suit everyone’s requirements. While the wide range can seem overwhelming, don’t worry. Our bathroom fitter will explain the differences during the survey.

Both types include standard with a panel, ‘L’ or ‘B’ shower baths, corner, freestanding and walk-in.

Toilet types include high or low level, close-coupled, back to the wall, corner, high cistern, rimless, and wall hung. You can even get Smart toilets now (or Japenese Toilets as they are otherwise known). They flush automatically when you move away from the Toilet.

Basin types include pedestal, semi-pedestal, counter top, wall hung, corner, inset and under the counter.

Flooring

Bathroom flooring is durable and 100% waterproof.

Tiles work exceptionally well on Bathroom floors. They are durable, look good and work with most Bathroom designs.

Floor tiles are available in a range of shapes, sizes and materials. However, porcelain is the most common, hard-wearing and crack-resistant.

Slate, granite and marble tiles are an alternative to the Porcelain tile. Endless colours and patterns are available for floor tiles, and like the walls, they can be fitted in various patterns.

Vynil is another common Bathroom flooring material and is often the first alternative to tiles. Vynil is available in many colours and designs and is rolled out over the floor or fitted as tiles.

Concrete floors are an excellent bathroom floor material. Once treated, it’s waterproof and easy to clean. However, concrete has to be retreated periodically to retain its water resistance.

Engineered wood can be fitted in bathrooms, although you must be careful not to get it too wet as it gets slippery and can warp. Not the best flooring material, but it does suit some designs and styles.

Rubber is an option for bathrooms used by children, disabled and older people. It’s exceptionally grippy with excellent non-slip properties and provides a soft landing in case someone does slip. Rubber is available on a roll or in tiles. The colours are limited.

Taps

Taps are fitted to your bath and basin. In addition, shower thermostatic and mixer taps can be fitted if you don’t have an enclosure and want to incorporate a shower with the bath.

Taps are available in hundreds of classic and modern designs in different sizes and colours.

Modern taps include disc cartridges which ensure they remain drip free when turned off. In addition, the cartridges and mechanisms are easy to replace if they wear out.

Tap types include pillar, mixer, monobloc and wall mounted with ball, disc, cartridge or washer mechanisms.

Showers

Showers are fitted in an enclosure or over the bath. Shower baths are ‘L’ or ‘B’ shaped, providing additional room for showering.

We fit all showers types, including mixer, thermostatic, electric, digital, eco and power.

Mixer showers mix hot and cold water, while thermostatic showers keep the temperature constant and won’t allow it to get hotter than set for safety.

Electric and digital showers include a built-in thermostat to control the temperature. Eco showers preserve water, while power showers include a pump to increase power.

Storage

Storage is built into every Bathroom. Storage includes shelving, cupboards and units. Storage can be freestanding or incorporated with the fixtures and fittings such as the basin and toilet.
