Firstly it’s a great company that do a great job at a fair price. Terry the governor came round 1st to view the job (replacing the boiler and changing the system from a pressure system to a combi system) and I received the price of the work to be done the same night, and was very happy with his work ethics and the quote I received. The work was carried out within a week by one of his engineers called Alex, who knew his job and carried out the work to the highest of standards. I could not recommend this company highly enough.
Thanks for a great job.
Atb, Mr S Randall.

Boiler Servicing
Boiler Servicing ensures your Boiler is running correctly, consuming the correct amount of fuel, and is safe to use.
Boilers work hard daily to provide heating and hot water; therefore, maintenance is required to keep them running correctly and reduce the chances of a fault and breakdown.
Servicing also ensures your home breakdown insurance and Boiler warranty are valid. The small print of both always states the Boiler must be serviced annually by a Gas Safe Registered engineer for the insurance/warranty to be valid.
There’s no excuse not to service your Boiler. The process takes around an hour and is inexpensive.
After service, you can rest assured that your boiler’s clean, you’re not wasting money on excess fuel, there’s no carbon monoxide risk, and your insurance and warranty are valid.
The Boiler Service Process
One of our engineers will arrive at your property on the booked date and time.
Initial Visual Inspection & Cleaning
- The engineer will visually inspect the boiler’s outer casing for signs of corrosion, damage and carbon monoxide.
- The casing is removed, and the interior is checked and cleaned, inside and out.
- Corrosion can indicate a leak caused by loose or corroded seals.
- If the casing is damaged, our engineer may be able to repair it. If not, we will try to source a replacement casing.
- Working components are inspected for signs of leaks, damage or carbon monoxide.
- Seals and pipework are checked for tightness.
- Internal components are thoroughly cleaned.
Boiler Testing & Safety Checks
- Boiler pressure is checked and reset if low.
- Pressure is monitored to ensure it is not dropping, which would indicate a fault.
- A gas rate check is carried out to ensure the boiler is burning gas at the correct rate.
- The gas burner is tested and, if required, adjusted to ensure optimal efficiency.
- The flue is tested using a flue gas analyser to measure oxygen, carbon dioxide and carbon monoxide levels.
- This confirms that harmful, potentially poisonous gases are being safely expelled.
- The flue is checked to ensure it retains heat and prevents heat loss.
- Ventilation is checked to ensure the boiler receives the correct air supply for safe operation.
- All boiler safety devices are checked and tested to ensure they operate correctly in the event of a fault.
Final Checks & Completion
- The boiler is reassembled and switched back on.
- Gas leak checks are carried out.
- Radiators are checked to ensure they are heating correctly and bled if required.
- Checks are made for a carbon monoxide alarm.
- Condensate pipe insulation is inspected, with recommendations made if improvements are needed.
- A service record is completed for your records.
- Our engineer will then take payment, tidy up and leave.

The Issues That Cause Boilers to Break Down
Never ignore boiler faults. Even if the boiler is still running, it will likely fail shortly and could become more expensive to repair.
It’s always best to address boiler issues early, before they become severe and costly.
Boiler Pressure Problems
Boiler pressure is the first thing to check if your boiler is not running. Low pressure is one of the most common causes of boiler failure, and in many cases, householders can repressurise the boiler themselves.
- Consult your boiler manual and repressurise the boiler as instructed
- This is usually around 1.5 bar
If the boiler pressure remains constant after repressurising, it should not cause further issues.
If the pressure drops again, this can indicate:
- a leak within the boiler
- a faulty safety release valve
- a loose or damaged seal
- an internal blockage
An engineer will need to investigate to establish the exact cause.
Blocked Heat Exchangers
Blocked heat exchangers often create whistling or kettling noises, similar to a boiling kettle. This is an urgent issue that needs immediate attention.
If left unresolved, the heat exchanger may become damaged beyond repair, requiring a new boiler.
Pilot Light Problems
If your pilot light keeps blowing out, an engineer will need to check the thermocouple. This safety device regulates the gas supply.
In most cases, a simple adjustment or replacement is all that’s required to get the boiler working correctly again.
Frozen Condensate Pipes & Other Faults
Frozen condensate pipes are a major cause of boiler failures during cold weather, particularly when pipes are inadequately insulated.
Boiler issues can also be caused by:
- faulty controls
- failing pumps
Whatever boiler issue you’re experiencing, we will get your boiler up and running again as quickly as possible.
