TM Hughes is a local gas safe registered company. We disconnect old gas cookers and install new ones in their place.

If you’re installing a new gas cooker, it must be fitted by a certified engineer to ensure correct fitting and safety. Incorrect fitting can damage your new cooker and even lead to a gas leak.

Our engineers have fitted hundreds of gas cookers over the years and will fit yours swiftly and properly. Of course, we fit gas hobs also.

Having your cooker fitted by a gas safe registered engineer also validates your cooker warranty and home insurance. Most policies won’t payout in the event of an amateur, uncertified fitting.

Safe & Stringent Fitting Procedures

First of all, give us a call and let us know what cooker you’re having fitted, and we’ll give you a price over the phone (alternatively contact us using the form at the bottom of the page).

If you’re happy with the price (which we guarantee will be fair compared to other prices in the area), you can book an engineer for a convenient time.

First of all our engineer will disconnect your old cooker.

Before fitting the new cooker,, the engineer will analyse your kitchen and ensure everything’s safe, with noting in the way such as sockets, smoke alarms, switches or combustible materials such as wall units.

By ensuring a clear area of at least 750mm above the hob and 50mm on either side, the cookers are installed safely and legally.

Your new cookers are unpacked, connected and tested as per the manufacturer’s instructions. The engineer will also ensure the connection to the gas supply is safe and secure.

Once the installation’s completed an installation record’s written for you to keep.
