This is the second year I've had TMHughes service my mother's combi boiler after her previous gas engineer company was constantly cancelling or rearranging her appointment year on year! TMHughes are reliable, trustworthy and professional so therefore they have gained a regular customer here. I highly recommend them!

Our heating system had an issue with the wifi thermostat preventing the heating from working. Fast response, as usual, and the issue fixed within 24 hours at a reasonable price

Fantastic service , turned up exactly on time of the booking . Well priced and repaired a a few issues that had built up over a period of time . One of which we feared would be a big job but sorted it quickly and easily at minimal cost . Never easy finding reliable tradesperson , we did and are very happy to use again .

- All types of Showers & Pumps installed
- Experienced & Insured Plumbers
- Free No-Obligation Quotes
Types of Showers We Install
We fit all types of Showers, which include:
- Electric Showers: Heat water on demand using electricity, so they don’t need to rely on hot water from your Boiler. They’re ideal for busy households and work well in homes with low water pressure.
- Mixer Showers: Mix hot and cold water to achieve the right temperature. They work with all types of Boilers.
- Power Showers: have a built-in pump to boost water pressure.
- Thermostatic Showers: Keep the temperature consistent, even when someone else uses a tap in the house, preventing scalding.
- Digital Showers: Digital controls set the temperature and flow.
- Smart Showers: Take control a step further. You can control them by voice, setting timers, and creating personal settings for different people in your home.
We provide free, no-obligation surveys and quotes to help determine the best type of Shower for your home, plumbing system, needs and budget.
Our Installation Service
Throughout the installation, we take care of everything. We’ll remove your old Shower, adjust the plumbing or electrics, fit the new unit, seal it and test it to ensure it works per the manufacturer’s instructions.
All shower installations are carried out by experienced plumbers who are fully qualified and insured. We work cleanly, respect your home, and clear up before we leave.

We also offer Shower Repair services to the residents of Epping. Common problems include:
- Low Water Pressure: Often caused by blockages, pump failure (in power showers), or problems with the plumbing system
- Temperature Fluctuations: Common in mixer and thermostatic showers, usually due to a faulty valve, cartridge, or inconsistent water supply.
- No Hot Water: This is usually an issue with electric showers (heating element failure). In mixer showers, it’s a problem with the hot water supply
- Leaks: Water leaking from the showerhead, hose, or control unit
- is usually caused by worn seals, cracked pipes and loose connections.
- Electric Shower Not Working: Power failure, tripping fuse, or internal component failure is usually caused by faulty heating elements or electrical connections.
- Dripping Showerhead: Often due to a worn-out valve or cartridge that’s not closing fully
- Pump Problems (Power Showers): Noisy operation or total failure results in no pressure or flow.
- Blocked Shower Head or Hose: Limescale build-up causes poor flow, which is usually solved by cleaning or replacing the parts.
- Water Not Shutting Off Properly: The Shower drips or runs after being turned off, often a sign of a faulty valve.
