Firstly it’s a great company that do a great job at a fair price. Terry the governor came round 1st to view the job (replacing the boiler and changing the system from a pressure system to a combi system) and I received the price of the work to be done the same night, and was very happy with his work ethics and the quote I received. The work was carried out within a week by one of his engineers called Alex, who knew his job and carried out the work to the highest of standards. I could not recommend this company highly enough.
Thanks for a great job.
Atb, Mr S Randall.
Welcome To TM Hughes & Son. We are a team of experienced Plumbers and Heating Engineers who install Saniflo Systems in Southend.
If you want a Saniflo fitted to your home or commercial premises, please get in touch with us for a free, no-obligation quote.
What Is A Saniflo System?
Saniflo systems are an innovative solution for fitting sanitary fixtures, such as toilets, sinks, showers, and dishwashers, where it is impossible to directly connect them to the existing soil pipe that runs to the main sewer line.
Traditionally, sanitary fixtures were located near the soil pipe to ensure easy wastewater disposal via flushing and gravity.
While this traditional system certainly works well, it severely limits options regarding the location of toilet installations, bathts, showers, basins, and washing machines.
A Saniflo system uses maceration technology to grind waste before pumping it directly into the sewer system through small-diameter pipes.
This makes it possible to install sanitary fixtures just about anywhere – from lofts and basements to cupboards – without direct access to a soil pipe.
Therefore Saniflos can be incredibly useful if you need an additional bathroom suite or even just an extra Toilet installed somewhere unconventional in your home.
Once installed, a Saniflo system will provide up to 15 years of reliable use with minimal maintenance requirements.
To ensure efficient operation, we recommend avoiding flushing items down the toilet, like baby wipes or sanitary products, which can cause clogs and potential damage over time—only flush waste and toilet paper.
It is also important not to use bleach when cleaning Saniflos as it can cause corrosion within the system.
Finally, because Southend is a hard water area, we recommend descaling your Saniflo around three or four times yearly to prevent limescale build-up.
When you choose TM Hughes & Son for your Saniflo installation, you can rest assured that our engineers will undertake the work swiftly yet efficiently while remaining tidy.
The installation time required varies depending on factors such as the size of the installation, location and scope of the work.
Installation usually takes anything from just a few hours to an entire day.
During our free no-obligation survey and quote, we’ll provide an accurate indication of how long installation will take for your project.
