The engineer arrived as scheduled. Said he needed to buy parts and left. Came back and worked for 1.5 hours and found a part of the hob needs replacement.
The engineer, Lewis, said while leaving that he will invoice for 2.5 hours and will need to come back when part arrives. I asked him to bill for less as actual work was less and not complete. He agreed for 2 hours.
Later the invoice arrived for 2.5 hours (£300 with parts included). When I mailed him to ask why the extra half hour, he stopped responding until I mailed the company. He is not agreeing to 2 hours now.
I will pay him but have decided to use British Gas to complete the test of the job.

Saniflo is a revolutionary plumbing system that allows you to install a toilet, sink, shower or dishwasher in a location that does not have access to a soil pipe.
Traditionally Toilets and other Plumbing Fixtures had to be fitted close to the soil pipe to dispose of waste adequately.
The soil pipe is used to carry wastewater and sewage away from a building. Traditionally made of cast iron (although modern pipes are constructed from plastic) is installed on the exterior wall and runs underground, connecting the home’s plumbing system to the main sewer line.
Soil pipes are larger in diameter than other plumbing pipes, such as water supply pipes, and are designed to handle the heavier flow of wastewater and sewage. They are also usually pressure-resistant and sealed with a gasket to prevent odours from escaping.
Toilets have to be connected close to the soil pipe. Thus they are usually fitted on the interior wall adjacent to the oil pipe. Waste from sinks, basins, showers and baths runs to the soil pipe using gravity.
Not anymore, now with a Saniflo system, you can fit a Toilet, sink, shower etc., anywhere in the home. A cupboard, your loft, basement, even outbuilding, anywhere you want.

Saniflo systems use a small grinder pump to macerate and pump waste to the soil pipe. Capable of distances up to 15 feet vertically and 150 feet horizontally to the home’s main sewage line.
Saniflo systems are often used in situations where it is not feasible or cost-effective to install new plumbing (lofts, cupboards, basements, garages etc).
Saniflos are cost-effective to install and have a lifespan of up to 15 years (however, we have known them to last longer) with minimal maintenance required.
Saniflo systems are very reliable, and as long as installed and used correctly, they will give you many years of trouble-free use.
As Basildon is a hard water area, annual descaling is recommended, which is a simple procedure you can undertake yourself without needing a Plumber.
