I was pleased with the work kai did to replace the faulty part on the heating system, as a result there are no problems now and the heating is now operating efficiently and correctly.

This is a reliable, professional and trustworthy company that I would highly recommend.
A few years ago I needed a replacement boiler, TM Hughes sourced it, supplied and fitted it efficiently and tidily. My late husband was ill with dementia at the time, but the plumbing and heating engineer, Pawel, took everything in his stride and was kind, friendly and respectful with him.
After installation he checked each radiator carefully. He was polite and his work was clean and tidy. Since then I have continued to use TM Hughes and Pawel has done the annual boiler service each year. I wouldn't hesitate to contact Terry, the owner, if I had a plumbing or heating problem as I know that I can rely on Pawel to do what's best. He takes a genuine interest in his customers and won't advise you to do something that is unnecessary.
Thank you Terry for a company of which you should be proud.

Gas Fires generate comforting heat that makes living rooms feel much cosier, which is welcome during the colder months.

Gas Fires should be serviced annually as a fuel-burning appliance to ensure they are running efficiently and are safe for use.

A service also reduces the chance of a breakdown as any underlying issues you may not know about are uncovered during the service.

It’s good practice to have your fire serviced before it’s switched on for winter. Failing that, the springtime when it’s switched off, so it’s ready for the following winter.

All Types And Makes Of Fire & Flue Serviced

We service all types and makes of gas fire and all flue types.

A Quick And Simple Procedure

Gas Fire Servicing is a quick and straightforward procedure undertaken by one of our engineers who will fully clean and test all essential components.

Book a convenient time for our engineer to visit. Our engineer will arrive at your booked time and lay dust sheets in the work area to protect your flooring.

After the fire assembly is removed, the engineer then cleans all internal components.

Once clean, the engineer will inspect all the working parts to make sure they are not damaged or obstructed.

After cleaning, the fire is reassembled and switched on. Next, the engineer conducts a burn rate test to check if the fire’s burning gas at the correct rate.

If not, adjustments are made, so your fire does burn the correct amount of gas.

The safety devices are checked to ensure they are functioning. The flue is checked with a gas flow analyser to ensure it’s working correctly, removing all excess gasses.

After serving, the engineer cleans up and writes your service record.

Optimal Energy Efficiency

After servicing, your fire will run, burning the optimal amount of gas, ensuring good energy efficiency.

Safe From Carbon Monoxide

Gas fires can produce carbon monoxide, a poisonous gas that can kill.

Servicing includes testing the fire and flue that verify the complete combustion of fuel is taking place, and all exhaust gasses are expelled, so your fire isn’t a carbon monoxide risk.

Carbon monoxide alarms should always accompany gas fires. Always better safe than sorry.

If you don’t have a carbon monoxide alarm, our engineer will make recommendations.

Valid Warranty & Home Insurance

Read the small print if your fire’s still under warranty or if your fire’s covered by home emergency breakdown insurance.

Most warranties and insurers state that you must have an annual service by a qualified gas engineer to ensure your gas fires are covered.

Annual Gas Fire Servicing ensures the warranty or insurance covers your fires.
