About Baxi Boilers
Baxi has been manufacturing Boilers for over 150 years, a famous UK brand. Baxi Boilers are efficient and designed for easy installation, servicing and repair. Baxi Boilers are known for their reliability and feature generous free parts and labour warranties.
Baxi offers a range of Combi, System and Regular Boilers with warranties of 3-10 years.
Baxi Combi Boilers
Combi Boilers are the most commonly fitted Boilers in the UK. Combis are the easiest of all Boilers to install, service and repair. They also take up the least amount of space.
Combination Boilers house all the working parts inside the Boiler, so hot waters delivered to the radiators and taps from the Boiler without the need for an external central heating pump, storage cylinder or water tanks. A Heating element heats mains water in an instant when the hot tap’s switched on. You only pay to heat the water you use, so you enjoy maximum energy efficiency.
Combi Boilers are best for smaller homes with a single bathroom. While the design is compact and energy-efficient, the combi is not ideal when multiple hot taps are used simultaneously (as with homes with multiple bathrooms and occupants). Water pressure is the same as the mains pressure (tap pressure will drop if numerous taps are used simultaneously), which means you’ll enjoy a powerful shower if you have good mains water pressure.
Baxi System Boilers
System Boilers are better for larger homes with more than one bathroom. The System Boiler houses essential parts such as the pump (eliminating the need for loft space and water tanks). Still, it uses an unvented (sealed) storage cylinder to ensure a good supply of hot water for multiple taps and radiators.
System Boilers allow the use of baths, showers and hot taps at the same time without pressure loss or water going cold in places. The cylinder acts as a hot water backup in case the Boiler breaks down with an electric Immersion heater fitted to the cylinder. The electric heater will directly heat the water inside the cylinder while you wait for your Boiler to be repaired.
Baxi System Boilers come with warranties of 7-10 years.
Baxi Regular Boilers
Regular Boilers are also known as traditional or vented Boilers. Regular Boilers are common on older central heating systems that use water tanks (a large tank for cold water storage and a smaller expansion tank). Also used are an open vented cylinder and an external central heating pump.
Regular Boiler systems are complex. Modern combi and system boilers have simplified central heating systems overall. The cold water tank takes water from the mains supply, delivered to the cylinder, which is heated (by the Boiler) and then delivered to the taps and radiators with the pump.
These days, Regular Boilers are mainly fitted to old central heating systems that cannot cope with modern Combi and System Boilers’ pressure. Older central heating systems that can cope with the increased pressure are often upgraded with a Combi or System Boiler. Regular Boilers are good, however, for supplying a constant stream of hot water, so they are sometimes fitted in the largest of homes with high hot water demand.
Baxi Regular Boilers come with warranties of 3-7 years.
Baxi Boiler Service
Once you have a Baxi Boiler installed, it must be serviced every year (by a gas safe registered engineer) to keep the warranty valid. A service also ensures your Boiler runs smoothly, efficiently and won’t cause you any problems. We regularly service Baxi Boilers in Essex to the required procedure and standards as per the manufacturer’s instructions. Our Baxi Boiler service prices are amongst the best in Essex.
Various parts of the Boiler are cleaned, inspected and tested. This includes seals, pipework, casing, safety devices, gas burn rates, boiler pressure, flue and ventilation. After the service, you can rest assured your Boilers running properly is less likely to break down and doesn’t pose a carbon monoxide risk.
Baxi Boiler Installation
We offer a free no-obligation survey and quote for Baxi Boiler Installations. A gas safe registered engineer will inspect your existing central heating system and take note of your home’s size, number of occupants, radiators, and bathrooms. The engineer will then present you with the available options.
A straightforward Boiler removal and replacement of the same type may be in order. For example, replacing your old system boiler with a new system Boiler. Changing the type of Boiler and converting your existing central heating system may be the best choice. For example, removing your old traditional Boiler, water tanks, storage cylinder etc. and replacing it with a new combi boiler.
There’s no one size fits all when it comes to Boiler installations. Every household is different. A survey will allow us to show you all the possibilities and write you an accurate (and free) no-obligation quote.
Baxi Boiler Repair
Boilers do, unfortunately, break down from time to time, and when they do, you want your Boiler back up and running as soon as possible. We offer Boiler repairs 24 hours a day with no call out charges.
In the event of your Baxi Boiler breakdown, we can have an engineer at your property within a couple of hours (or at a later time if you prefer). Our engineers have a very high success rate when repairing Boilers (having seen every kind of Boiler fault possible) and usually have them back up and running swiftly with little disruption.
